We’d like to extend a super special thanks to SABR – Team Boca alum Mandy Freeman for graciously spending two nights with our academy groups, players, parents, and coaches at FAU Glades, where she played as a youth player.
Her willingness to share her time, experience, and insights has made a lasting impact on our entire club.
Mandy's dedication and passion for the sport are inspiring, and her appearance provided an invaluable opportunity for learning, growth, and inspiration.
Our players benefited greatly from her expertise, our parents appreciated her openness, and our coaches gained new perspectives that will enrich our program for years to come.
Thank you, Mandy, for your generosity and commitment. We are grateful for your support and proud to have you as part of our extended SABR – Team Boca family.
Mandy, captain of Gotham FC, just won their second NWSL Championship in three years (2023 and 2025), and recently completed her ninth season with the professional club.
She closed out the regular season with 117 career appearances for Gotham FC, the same team that took her 10th overall in the first round of the 2017 NWSL Draft. She’s started 91 matches and is Gotham FC’s longest-tenured player.
In 2024, she scored her first NWSL goal, a right-footed shot from distance that curved into the upper 90, which was named the “Goal of the Week” and received consideration for “Goal of the Year.”
Mandy also made 69 appearances and helped lead the University of Southern California Trojans to the 2016 national championship and was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year.
Internationally, Mandy represented the United States on the U-23, U-20, and U-17 Youth National Teams. She was a member of the U-17 World Cup qualifying team.
